  2. I know you like funny stories so I thought I would tell you a true one. My husband was in his high school English class and the class was reading the famous novel that has the line, "I was born a bastard." My husband turned to his friend, Tom, and said, "That is a stupid thing to say about yourself!" Tom looked at my husband and said, "Well if you, you are." My husband shook his head and said, "It just doesn't make any sense!" Thinking something was up, Tom askes my husband, "What do you think bastard means?" My husband replies, "You know fish shit." Of course, Tom says, "What are talking about?" My husband explains, "Bastard (bass turd) means fish shit!" Tom laughs hysterically disrupting the whole class. The teacher gets after him, but Tom says to the teacher, "Oh no you have to hear this one, it is too good and explained the story to her and the class." She laughed so hard she was draped over the podium. The rest of my husband's high school's term was marked by people calling him FS, short for fish shit, even the principal did so! As a little boy, my husband grew up Mormon, he went with his grandmother who called people bastard when the cut her off. He heard bass turd and figured out later on it meant fish poop.
