And the Japanese government still didn't believe them.

It was a reference to Beirut

@eeee-wc5kj oh wow I thought this was a recent video. Thank you for pointing that out.

Which come in various types and applications. A low yield penetrator targeting a government bunker in your city is going to be much preferable to a 2.5 megaton airburst
1
Lol it forgot to mention the wars they prevented
1
@cdxst3968 sorry, which exact wars did they cause?
1
@RubenSinna which one would that be?
1
@RubenSinna so back to "prevented wars and didn't start any". Thanks for your input it was really great.
1
@RubenSinna when was the last world war?
1
@RubenSinna simply incorrect, there was a massive never before seen period of peace in Europe post war and the nuclear deterrent aspect is further demonstrated by released documents such as the Seven Days to the River Rhine warplans.
1
@RubenSinna eurosavages do not play nice unless they are occupied by foreign armies. Sorry, but the plan clearly demonstrates that deterrence works - even in a NATO first strike scenario. To say that it "guarantees" catastrophe is quite obviously wrong. There have been decades of escalations and mistakes made all round but the very existence of nuclear weaponry has prevented you from doing another stupid thing thinking you could get away with it. No one is going to launch a decapitation strike over a dead archduke anymore.
1
@Sitapoes where the hell do you get the justification for that leap?
1
@RubenSinna erm, no. Then the other countries will dominate.
1
@Sitapoes no one has done that for very good reason, even backward countries like Pakistan and India. That reason is the threat of intervention from the nuclear superpowers.
1
@RubenSinna we have had almost a century of relative global peace, that is a reality unlike your childish fantasy of simultaneous global nuclear disarmament which would still not be able to guarantee that a country could produce their own unilaterally which could then be used to threaten everyone else.
1
Lol, no.
1
@seloranswivelton Hiroshima and Nagasaki were legitimate military targets. To be a war criminal he needs to have been convicted of a war crime. He was not. There is no "truth" in your statements.
1
@seloranswivelton there is no law that says you cannot bomb a city simply because it's population is "large" lol.

Goes off the deep end at the seven minute mark
