@akshaysingh9037 Probably, harsh work culture in Japan is one of their adaptations to the foreseen falling fertility and resultant depletion of native work force. The hesitant importation of foreign workers is Japan’s solution now: it’s slow and highly regulated.

@gordonbgraham I strongly doubt the number of old people will level off in the coming years. People passing is inevitable. You’re entitled to your hopes and opinions, as I do too. Let’s hope Japan reverses it’s graying and dwindling population in the coming years. Good luck to Japan 🇯🇵

Another vicious trend in Japan is the tricking of young Japanese women into unhealthy jobs in entertainment and film industry denying them the chance of becoming normal mothers in later years. Good luck to Japan 🇯🇵

It’s the result, i.m.h.o., to the thinking in the 50s and 60s that population control, by promoting contraceptive methods, is a must to develop the country. Unbeknownst to the policymakers then the consequent deep-rooting of contraceptive mentality which is hard to reverse now. The result: two parallel trends that shouldn’t be happening, prosperity and falling birth rates. Development becomes unsustainable now.

@ishrarrafid2693 In theory, it’s possible for economies to have incremental growth through time as long as there’s people with the proper age distribution and demographics. Economies are active as long as there’s continuous flow of people. It becomes inactive when the flow of people gradually stops.

@boycottnok1466 Whether Japanese women are smart or not. All of them have dignity and deserve to be respected as a person. I have the funny feeling someone is misogynistic! 🤣

@boycottnok1466 The lack of morality and gullibility among young Japanese women is NOT justification to use, abuse and treat them as mere objects. Knowledgeable people have the obligation to share their knowledge and culture to those by misfortune haven’t received proper formation. It’s analogous to the time of the discovery of the new world of America. Western colonists realized they ought not to abuse the indigenous natives of the Americas. Somehow, it should be the same with Japanese women.
