@Lazule I think, no woman in her right mind would enter into prostitution voluntarily. Imho, something happened to these women that they ended up in prostitution. Some could have been physically forced to be a prostitute. Still, others may have been tricked or fooled to go into it. Some others could have been blackmailed to stay in it. The strategy that the Swedish gov't adopted in addressing prostitution and human trafficking in their country is based on research. Even by understanding human nature and behavior one can already see the evidence.

Exactly, this is one of Japanese cultural peculiarities driving a vicious cycle to lower birth rate.
1
@rsuriyop Exactly, that’s one of the reasons US, in WW2, decided to drop the A-bomb to convince them to surrender and end the war.

Organized crime has a tight grip of Japan's showbiz, including adult video studios. They're the ones wasting away Japan's womanhood 🚺 and pulling down Japan toward dwindling population and consequently extinction.

TBH, I prefer K-pop idols for their lively dancing and singing more than J-pop.

Happy International Women's Day! A book about Japanese language: https://www.japantimes.co.jp/life/2017/01/30/language/womans-lowly-place-japan-mirrored-language/ It demonstrates women's place in Japanese society.

If poverty among actresses, as the video title says, causes the reduction of this industry, it will be for the betterment of society. In the long term, devaluing the marital act, devalue all the people involved: actors, filmmakers, and viewers.

It’s a very sad family situation. From being a victim of sexual abuse to working in adult entertainment is going from bad to worse in being abused. If many Japanese girls have similar experience, no wonder very few Japanese women wish to become mothers anymore. This further impacts low fertility and birth rates in Japan.

Bùi Nguyên Khoa In the upper right hand corner of the video you will see icon made of 3 dots arranged vertically. Click it and a drop-down of options will appear. One of them is CC = Captions. Click it and choose English to turn on English subtitles. I hope this will help.

The sad fact that so many japanese girls are duped to work in the porn industry is quite indicative of how the prevalent japanese mindset view the marital act and the generative faculty: aside from making babies, it’s also a form of art and theatrics.

A Christian philosopher once said prostitution is a sign 5ex is "a value not sufficiently appreciated". There is more to 5ex than mere recreation and women as mere 5ex toys.

@I_Cunt_Spell Japan’s culture and society has many shining features. But it also has, like other cultures, many dark shadows in its culture and society. Japanese should be open to change for the better!

@rsuriyop Japan’s culture and society has many shining features. But it also has, like other cultures, many dark shadows in its culture and society. Japanese should not fear reform and be open to change for the better!
1
@capmidnite Absolutely! Gen. McArthur’s work during the American occupation paved the way for land reform, more equitable distribution of wealth, and turning a war-mongering Japan into peace-loving nation. There’s lots of room for improvement and Japanese Americans could play a big role in that.
1
@I_Cunt_Spell No nation should follow the preferences of other peoples. Absolutely! But nations and cultures can learn from one another. Change is constant, it’s inevitable. It’s beneficial to learn good things from others.

Excellent point! I think, the bottom line is “money is the ultimate motivator for doing this job”. All the other justifications are mere cover-ups.
1
@BigBruh-xu4xc I definitely feel your circumstances. But there's a reason in the saying, "For the husband is the head of the wife ..." (cf Ephesians chap. 5 verse 23). The man must be the prophet/teacher of his wife including teaching her, by word and example, how to love truthfully.

Great vlog episode! Thank you for doing a follow-up video on the homeless girl. If she has a mental disorder, isn't there a mental asylum in Japan where people with mental sickness can be cared for. She could be part of the staff of that asylum (part-time basis) and a patient at the same time. Just wondering! Discovered she's a youtuber also! How can she afford that without a job?

It's shameful! I heard chikan, like rape, is trivialized in japanese movies. So sad.

If only Japan's society will embrace the law of Moses, it will be the beginning of wisdom. (cf. Dt 4:1-2, 6-8)
1
@yamiletsoler3464 Definitely! But a distinction should be made between human malice and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

It's becoming more obvious to me that to a Japanese mind, both women and men, sex is primarily for pleasure and entertainment. Making babies through sex is secondary and optional. This mindset could be one of the causes of Japan's low birth rate.
1
@Loundre3 You're absolutely right! Japanese work culture suffocates married and family life with excessive overtime work, both compulsory and voluntary. At the same time, gov't support for couples with children is not enough. But I believe, there's no amount of external incentives to form a family will be sufficient when the prevailing mindset in most women and men toward the sexual act is that it is mere play and trivial. It is the underlying absence of sexual morality in Shintoist thinking that is driving it, imho.
1
It’s an indicator that women’s dignity in Japan is NOT equal to men. There are traditional customs and practices in Japan that show sex is for play first, then, as a second thought, sex is for extending ones bloodline. Modern Japanese sex industry can be traced back to the ancient geisha culture and shunga art. This is one of the shadows and dark features of Japan that should change, hopefully soon. 😄

How about a video asking the same questions to young men?
1
So strange their way of thinking!
1
It’s only illegal in official documents. But de facto and in the street-level, it’s business as usual ever since the Edo period. 🤣
1
@ernestkj Very good point! It could also be instrumental in reducing organized crime’s grip on the “industry”.
1
@ernestkj Most probably! Everybody happy with the status quo, so why change it. Except for the dropping birth rates, consenting adults are happy for now so far. Don't they see the connection of this 'industry" with the overall low fertility rate?
