  1. Great video! The best thing that ever happened to the Philippines: it was Christianized by Spain. Yes, it was colonized also by Spain, like Mexico and other countries in South America. The US bought it from Spain. It was a trend at that time for western countries to have colonies. The US was already late to join that bandwagon. Aside from a few years of bloody battles, the US had a great time in the Philippines!
