Given the political realities of Turkey today, the EU working to create a solution to the situation on Cypress is just simply a fantasy.

Turkey seems to be the politically spoiler in NATO saying "no" just to say "no".

"Tweeto", that is creative & funny

The strongest demonstration of a nation's will to defend itself is conscription.

We should all admire Switzerland's strident neutrality. 🇨🇭👍

It is obvious why the UK departed from the EU...... Maybe individuals who work in the EU bureaucracy should understand the concept of "concent of the governed."

France is great in its willingness to provide help in Poland efforts to establish Nuclear power generation.

I am not a European, but the EU isn't a single sovereign nation. Poland is an independent sovereign nation in its own right. It maintains its own currency and its own foreign policy. Poland can determine what works for themselves without a catastrophe happening. Cooperation can work, if a population agrees to it willingly.

France withdrew from NATO in the 1960s. If Hungry chooses to exercise it sovereignty and leave, it will not have a significant impact.

Irresponsible speculation leads to artificial high prices. But challenge ownership to property should not be challenged. Something akin to the US' Sherman Antitrust Act would break up speculative ownership blocks, but preserve ownership of property rights. If market forces are allowed to work without speculation/housing monopolies prices will be established in accordance to supply and demand forces.

Putin will end up taking all of Ukraine. And take Moldova too; he will think "why not......"

Going full Soviet.... Stalin said "Quanity has a Quality of its own." 😧

Dipolmacy without a threat of force behind it, has zero effect. Physical deterrence works. Go back in time and ask West Germany and they will tell you a ROBUST physically deterrance WORKS.....

Kaliningrad is not a point of strength, but is akin to West Berlin during the Cold War, surrounded, and could easily be reduced. Ask the German army of the 1940s what happenscto surrounded cut off forces..?? Bottom line playing up Kaliningrad as a threat, is hyperbolic alarmism, considering its tactical, operational & strategic vulnerabilities.

Historically 4% of GDP towards defense is not onerous. During the Cold War NATO nations easily spent this amount.
