  5. Nice content & good balanced analysis. Eisenhower seemed focused on fighting his plan, not the enemy.. Given the obstacle a massive river presents, if an opportunity was there to cross and keep momentum moving forward as well as have the enemy reacting, a commander should seize that opportunity. But it can be said the east bank of the Rhine in the Schwartz Wald in Baden-Wurttenburg is easily defendable from a western attack, so eastward advance in later 1944 would have been difficult. 🤔 Keep up the great work!👍
