  1. Germany must stop using history as the excuse not to lead in Europe. Financing defense is a pure political choice. Poland has easily made this easily done this, and Germany can too!!! But in reality, Germany simply refuses to reallocate public spending towards defense. The "Peace Dividen" is completely over. Demonstrate strength and deterrance is the result....

  8. Is all of this artificial European contentinialism prideful bluster? Germany has the technical capability & the wealth to build nuclear weapons. Are European nations willing to accept conscription again & to spend their treasure to protect themselves? Robust deterrence in peacetime is cheaper in both blood & treasure then warfare. Poland has shown the freerider NATO nations a country can easily make the internal political decisions to spend 4% of their GDP on defense. Now, will other nations follow Poland's leadership?

  9. The purpose of a mutual defense treaty is to deter.. If deterrance fails, then the agressor has incurred the response from the third party. If the partners in the mutual defense treaty take no action to deter, then the treaty is, in effect, a dead letter.

  16. Freedom is not free. If a nation chooses not to invest in deterrance during a time of peace, then the cost in war is much higher in blood, treasure and individual freedom.

  17. If Ukraine is to win, they need platforms that provide combat multiplying effects. All NATO countries are not supporting a pathway to victory for Ukraine. Germany will never use their own tanks or IFVs to combat anyone, they are the worst free rider in NATO. So why not go to zero balance on tanks & IFVs? Ukraine will use them to defeat & ultimately deter a common enemy.
