  1. The problem is - how secure is the device that your password manager is on. If your phone has been hacked or your PC hacked, all the attacker needs to do is watch what you are typing or what is displayed on the screen. This means a simple modified Excel file or just a plain system hack gets you in. It makes your encrypted messages, emails and calls in the clear before and after any encryption. The programs themselves are not the real risk. You could go to a naughty adult site, allow scripts to be run on a browser and find you have a compromised computer and it will be your backdoor people go for! There are SO MANY risks. Secure your network, secure your devices, learn not to click on things, open documents in Google Drive and use NextDNS together with programs like AdGuardHome to limit certain sites.
