It will make no difference to other drug users and drinkers that have no respect for anyone else when they drive whilst impaired. They couldn't care less who they hurt or kill. Most people are NOT like this and don't come from a type of background that drug driving seems accepted. Don't try and share blame or make everyone think this is isolated. I certainly wouldn't want to admit if a drug using family member went out in a car whilst under the influence and killed someone. I am not sure what is "brave" about that sort of thing.

Well the big problem now is that most people are forced to have people like her living among us. People campaign for it. Years ago she would be in a secure unit so she couldn't harm anyone or cats! Now you find people like her employed in preference to others as it ticks a box and gets thought of as diverse.

Absolutely no idea why when the comments had nothing to do with him. Has someone else complained on his behalf without permission or is he just not listening.

And that proves all the safety campaigns and awareness do NOT work, they do not alter peoples behaviour in any way. He probably wanted to get home, he wasn't thinking of how his tyres displaced water and wondering how many cm of rain were on the road and what the surface levels were.

Great Security Team...

Why would you want everyone to see that? To show a relative was a drug user and drove a car under the influence and killed someone... It will not change anything, most people are NOT like this, so the message, if there is one, will only apply to similar types of people that have no respect for others or the Law. Showing videos of motorbike crashes still doesn't stop teenagers from questionable backgrounds going out on them uninsured and crashing causing injuries. The speed awareness courses don't stop people that got caught speeding either. No one really alters their behaviour because of what some random person did.

Why wasn't he looking after her? I think social services should be confronting him.

He has nothing to apologise for. He is a fairly intelligent man, knows the House rules and would not go breaking them. It must be difficult for the family still suffering, but doing this is not going to make them feel better - they should know they have the support of the whole of the UK over the murder, probably far more World Wide, people are right behind them. Trying to start campaigns or hijack things or think everything said is about them, or an insult to others is concerning. I can see there is a lot of anger when a person is murdered, but that destroys people unless they can make the person live on through more positive thoughts and actions. Talk about the person more. Don't allow news sites and campaign groups to use the name for their own purposes either. In a manslaughter case a few years ago, the wife of a victim wanted revenge and enjoyed seeing people that were not even responsible locked away under Joint Enterprise Laws...all because it made her feel better. Then it was campaigns, probably a youth club, a charity set up etc... You can't always have this "I am going to ruin everyone elses life because mine was ruined" type attitude. It really does make people very ill. Let people know about the brilliant life a person had with their family.

Exactly, I do hope the family will one day move on instead of trying to remember a child by having a go at everyone. It's difficult for them, but the memory would be kept alive by remembering the child as she was.

It is going to be really tough for the family if they start thinking everything said relates to their child in some way. It will make them really ill trying to take out their anger on others for any little thing. Move on by celebrating the person, not having a go at others. It's similar to the call for imposing their views on everyone else and trying to change the phone and IT industry. There is no need for different phones to be made, it just needs more responsible parents to check them often and use the technology we have had for many years for blocking and controlling use.

Not everyone driving is either impaired or a rubbish driver. Inappropriate speed can kill. Speed is only one factor in crashes.

@Minnevan If the driver was under the influence, he could have easily crashed at 20 or 30mph and killed someone. The selfish actions of these two people does not mean the rest of us that are sensible should have any restrictions. They were a massive risk to others around them, but that risk has now been removed, so the roads are slightly safer. Don't share the blame with every other road user, the driver killed his friend and himself and was lucky not to have killed anyone else.
