What the police should now do is start a proceeds of crime investigation and confiscate every penny he made and any property he had, including recovering amounts from family members if they were given gifts or money. This technique has been used in many other cases.

@IchaelGill Well it is one way to deal with re-offending. Once all the evidence comes out with the video of what happened, the support will slowly fade away and he will be forgotten, just like every other criminal. Victims are probably relieved and the local community probably feel safer now... The Police Officer will not be found guilty.

@petecernan2568 Imagine the shame of bringing up a child that was a vile criminal and went to prison.

Firearms Officers DO get paid more than someone of the same rank as them with similar length of service. I happen to know one or two of them. They get a lot of overtime too for escort duties and protection duties, a lot of which is spent sitting about protecting scum criminals. I really doubt you are a police officer as you do not even understand the legal definition of Homicide or Murder. Not every death is as a result of Murder. The CPS has a policy of mis-charging to secure the original offence they wanted a conviction on. In this case they knew it could possibly be manslaughter at a push, but a jury could find a person not guilty with flimsy evidence. They might do a plea bargain and allow a guilty plea to a lesser offence, but that would be a s18 wounding and not considered serious. What they want is a plea to a lesser offence of manslaughter as a plea bargain, so have incorrectly charged a person with murder - knowing there is no evidence based on the legal definition of the offence and what the police have already said happened on the night. The Officer will be found not guilty as I suspect the CPS will need to offer no evidence once the evidence is presented correctly.

Well that's 80 less criminals on the streets making everyone elses life a misery - how about thinking of all the victims of crime for once. Why should we all excuse the actions of criminals based on religion or colour of criminals or their relative's ability to incite rioting across the UK - a further criminal act involving many more victims. Outrageous decision to charge the police officer with any offence. The CPS is clearly doing this because of the fear of being labelled - or being sympathetic to criminals again. It is sad to see what is happening in the UK now. ALL police officers need to stick together now and refuse to carry guns as it could be them next. We will soon see who has no respect for their own colleagues.

@krim19 Police and legal people go to their own prisons! They are all together, mainly in open prisons. I hate to disappoint you! They do not get put in to the main scum of society population.

He will be found not guilty of any offence, the CPS will either drop it and offer no evidence or a jury will decide. The CPS is only doing this to stop lawless people that are bored from using it as an excuse to loot and riot. Hopefully the video and evidence will be released, then the supporters will slowly fade away.

ALL of his colleagues should now stop carrying firearms as there is no protection when they use them on criminal scum.
