  1. So that's 50KWH at 37p per KWH, it costs the same as a petrol that does 34mpg and far more than a diesel that does 50mpg in town and way more on a longer trip. Add that to the much higher purchasing costs and servicing and insurance and breakdown cover and you are now paying more, far more to run electric cars. You go to a street charger and prices are higher again. It doesn't make sense to buy one now.

  4. ouch, 40hours at 3kw = 120 x 0.33 = £41.50 inc VAT at 5%. for 290miles max. A 78KW battery? The 11KW charger only costs £30.49 inc VAT at 5%. A diesel and petrol is still cheaper to buy and run. Public chargers have much higher prices and VAT at20%, plus overstay charges now.
