@Autor: Your title is incorrect. You're talking about how the current USA was conquered, stolen and formed thanks to the Spanish Empire help in your independence. How it was colonized refers to the exploitation of slaves and cheap Irish, Scottish and then other countries' labor.

@anthonyrivas9085 The term native is not correct in this type of discussion, everyone born in a country is native. Trump is native American just like Crazy Horse. The original ethnic groups of a place are aboriginal or indigenous, terms that come from the Latin gene, this from the Greek genne and this from the Hindi genna "originating in a country as opposed to those established later." Therefore, a modern aboriginal tribe of mestizos cannot exist, because blacks are African aborigines, Mexican Indians are American aborigines and Mexicans can be Indians, mestizos with Spaniards, european aborigines, mestizos with Indians, mulattoes with blacks or other ethnic groups.

@Author: USA adopted the metric system the same year as France or Spain. You have now some institutes to translate imperial to metric and vice versa to import-export but in reallity you are metric.
