According to Brits themselves, it would be a crime in Europe to call British product "a chocolate", so it's not a good comparison.
P.S. In my country the largest producer buys cocoa beans directly from Africa, instead on relying on ready made cheaper, mass produced cocoa butter. Thus they grind those themselves and can control quality throughout the whole process. And no, it's not a luxury, hand made chocolate, although there is that too from other smaller producers, at approximately twice the price. Besides we buy chocolate of 52-70% cocoa content, sometimes up to 80-90%, so... it's not really comparable to these bars.
P.P.S. I've tried once really, REALLY bitter chocolate, not a baking one, but relatively expensive French or Belgian one. It was around 92% or even more. Insanely bitter, and felt dry like I was eating powder, despite the bar obviously not being that.
