  1. Internet in itself does not promote stupidity, problem is - there is a lot of stuff on it, so almost anyone can find something. It helps to spread information, now even in Saudi Arabia Atheists are becoming aware, they are not the only ones, however, on the other hand crazy freaks, like anti-vaxers, flatearthers, creationinst, all kinds of conspiracy believers (q-anon, birthers, truthers, moon "hoax" believers etc) also can find like-minded (more like "de-minded") idiots, which may also strengthen their belief in being right and special, since there are other dummies like them too; before they were just village idiots likely to die alone, now they can find company and start circlejerking their so called ideas and doing "research" - watching one another's videos.
