Large part of depression among youtubers are glitches, bugs and failures of YouTube's algorithms - subscribers don't get notifications for some reason, strikes and demonetisation for no reason etc. I even see it on my and as a simple viewer - a got suggestions for videos, that I've seen, or even seen several times and didn't really like. There seem to be something essentially broken with the mechanism of finding and proposing new good stuff and refreshing main page, instead it's "regurgitating" the same content again and again.

I suspect, people like me, who have been on YouTube for around a dozen of years are in s better position - we know what can be found, if only you look for it, and algorithms know what we like (more or less), while newbies are greeted with "trends", which basically are loads of crap. My condolences to them!
