  1. "Atlas Shrugged" is a shitty book. I don't get it how one sees it as an anti-Communist piece, because I grew up under Soviet occupation, and those supposedly positive heroes in the book have traits just like Commie leaders - pushy, dictatorial tendencies, "don't think, do as I say" attitude to "lesser" people. WTF?! So I dropped that piece of crap and never finished.

  2. I'm not that sure that proportionally Commies were the biggest killers. By absolute numbers - sire! But by relative number to population the most terrible culling could have been religious wars in Europe after the Reformation, 30 year war beats everything, even WWII, and IIRC Civil war in Britain (again at least partially based on religion) in 1600 still is the bloodiest civil war by proportion of population killed. Besides Communism, Fascism and Nazism themselves were proto-religions or rather it's the other way around - religions are ideologies with belief in supernatural added to them, thus they have so much in common with other cultish ideologies. I wonder how the cult of Donald Tramp will end.
