I disagree in that "see faults of others", it's not that, of course we all see imperfections of others as well as our own, but that's irrelevant, main thing is - that "socialising" is freaking boring! If instead of getting drunk and "you got to be more cheerful" we could talk about something interesting, like what's the best social model, is there something in cooperative capitalism, will the big nuclear fusion experiment be a success at last etc, that could be nice. See, I believe getting new information is the most exciting thing for an intelligent person (I'm not a genius nor really all that smart, but reading a book on my own birthday party is typically me), and "socialising" mostly isn't a good information, but rubbish.

  3. This seem to have became already obsolete even before making - there have been studies on two phase sleep and they found no benefits compared to one longer continuous sleep. As someone with troubles falling asleep unless dead tired, trying to go to sleep twice would be a nightmare.

  4. WHICH humans? We are not the same. Like some tribes in the Arctic can eat a liver of a polar bear, but it will kill anyone else due to excessive amounts of vitamin A. Or take legumes - perfectly fine for most humans, but legume pollen will actually kill people with sicle cell anemia, which affects populations in Africa, Sicily and Caucasus regions. Or take milk - fine for most Europeans, yet many Asians and almost 100% of Indigenous Americans can not digest it.

  5. While I grew up believing Beetles wrote amazing music, and by now it's an absolute classic, one day I heard "Strawberry Fields"... It sucks. Badly. Maybe by that time they were "scraping the bottom of the barrel" so to speak. Still, most of their songs are amazing, just not all of them.

Well, since pop has largely went to ..it, there still are other options, like not so ovelayed artists (Spotify sometimes is pretty good at suggesting stuff I might like), "extreme" music genres and... vocaloids. When I think of it, I haven't wached music videos for quite some time, so it's not about pretty faces and sexappeal in my case. And, sorry, but "make love" is complete bullshit in my opinion. Imagine, you were kept on some dull, bland diet for years, and then you find something tasty, unexpected. Will you still sticj to the familiar or rather to the delicious, the unusual, the suprising?
