  3. Well, cars might be getting better, but our reflexes are not. Sure, computerised assistance systems will help with that. I've never went faster that 130km/h (81mph) on my a quarter century old, small Volkswagen (manual shift stick, of course), at that speed it still felt comfy enough on an empty highway. But I live in a small country, where there are no autobahns, and speed limit is 50km/h in towns and 90km/h on highways. Never got a speeding ticket, since I almost never brake that limit, except a couple of instances.
