Yeah, every real foreign fighter in interviews says there were a lot of "wannabe soldiers of fortune", at least in the very beginning, but those quickly got vetted out by natural course of things - they flew away, as they realised, war is not what they believed it to be, and that they are not heroes in search of revelation of their incredible abilities.
