And that's given I live in Europe, where they are much more common, like really common, so services know them, parts are not that hard to get and there are scrapyards in case you choose to look for used parts. And that's given I got a relatively simple one - no air suspension, no quattro drive (which is robust, yet adds weight and complexity), no problems with fouling on diesel, no turbine, but it's a V6 gasoline, and working on V6 isn't simple, so it's expensive, like changing timing chain alone costs 50-60% of the price of that old car.
