  1. Aren't Americand overreacting "a bit"? I mean, when I grew up in Eastern Europe in early 1990s, I wasn't afraid to walk in the night several kilometres from school to home or even longer distances from town centre, despite those being "interesting times", back then police carried full auto AKs, and there were reasons for that.
