At this point I'm not even considering a car other than universal (station wagon) or a hatchback. Since I'm handicapped, I can throw a full size bicycle (with 28" wheels) in my car, when I need to leave it at a service, so I don't have to drag my feet. I also carry a kick scooter in my car at all times like sort of a life boat; if it's gets worse, I will eventually replace it with an electric scooter or a wheelchair. Sedans are almost useless and pickup trucks make sense only for business and maybe those who pull a trailer with a boat often, but even then a van or a SUV might make more sense. P.S. How is manual a problem? I'm not a good driver, but even I can drive manual with few issues... well, I could until recently, had to switch to automatic due to my disability. At first it felt sluggish and unresponsive, but now I've got used to it.
