  1. Come on, this idea is not THAT stupid as they usually are - much smaller and lighter than an actual train, thus might actually make sense on some lines with few passengers. But yes, you are also right - simplifying it and getting rid of gyros also makes sense, perhaps something akin to a van or a minivan on rails. Making regular cars run on rails is not a new idea and has been applied multiple times.
