A replacement already in development?! That was unexpected, yet it makes sense, given how long development cycles now are - one must start really early or else it will be too late.

Makes perfect sense to buy from Korea, instead of Germany, which is just next door, but has already proven itself not a really reliable partner this year, when it comes to deliveries of arms to those, who really need them for self-defence against Kremlin's Nazis. P.S. I really think whole NATO should shadow ban Germany in future arms deals.

No, four neutral countries who are members of PESCO are still neutral, so their participation is limited, not to violate that status. After all, "neutrality" is a legal status, it does not mean country can't participate in some military cooperation.

m n No, "neutrality" only prescribes what to do and what not to do at war time, nothing more.

Dropping bombs from fighters for CAS was not a good idea even in WWII, different aiming devices and more armour is needed, thus dedicated aircraft were built even back then.

@georgebarnes8163 Like where? Peacekeeping doesn't count as warfare, due to all the restrictions they have. Sure you know better than actual lawyers of international legislature, suuuure! XD

@georgebarnes8163 UN peacekeepers are not really a fighting force, they mostly pose as meat shields between two sides of conflict. One exception was Korean war.
1
@georgebarnes8163 Why not? Country likely wanted gain some prestige by involving in UN operations. Besides "Ministry of Attack" or "Invasion forces" is not a thing, it's always "defense" even in aggressive dictatorships. So your obsession with their name is "a bit" weird. Also, it was in Africa, nobody gives a shit, they died like flies anyway.

@georgebarnes8163 By making world a better place.

@georgebarnes8163 Sometimes it does, like in WWII, or Korean war, liberation of Kuwait, war against ISIS, or some other conflicts.

How bad things are? Well, Russians are arming their elite 1st Guard Tank Army with T-62 MBTs, since they are running out of T-90 and T-72 tanks.
