  2. Hmm, so Hitler, while being delusional and obsessed with big stuff instead of practical, was not an idiot (at least not early in WWII) and a better strategist than his chief of staff. That's quite surprising. On the other hand, it's not that hard to understand German generals: "Why do we need to listen to that corporal?!"

  3. +Treblaine LoL! While true, there is a difference: one is a field where generals believed themselves to be experts (now, in a hindsight - after both Worlds Wars lost.. maybe they were wrong), the other - politics, where "let politicians decide, I don't care" mindset must have kicked in.
