Western military experts have said Ukrainians idiotic stuff like "go around mine fields", but there is no "around", they stretch for hundreds of kilometres in insane density. How were Russians capable to mine such waste areas? Simple - the West was too slow at helping Ukraine, thus Ukraine had no means for attack last year, which gave Russian invaders time to dig in.
