  1. China doesn't have true allies, only temporary partners, as CCP way too much loves to screw over potential partners. The one upside of China's attempts to extend influence into Central Asia is that ties with China helps Kazakhstan to keep Russia at bay to some degree by keeping Kremlin mostly out of Kazakhstan's internal politics.
