It's just normal, they have no experience of living in oppressive regimes with completely controlled media. I grew up under Soviet occupation, so I got some idea, but USSR dissolved nearly 30 years ago, since then it's been completely different, where China has not went through such change. Weird thing is, in my memories old Soviet propaganda was not as while and plain dumb as current Russian one, but then I saw a couple of old records from early 1980s and late 1970s... nah, it was just as awful, it just didn't look that bad to me back then, when I had nothing to compare it to.

@MatanuskaHIGH And what is the media outlet of American government? Are you even aware, there is no equvalent to state controlled media in USA like it is in China, Russia, Iran and other "developed" nations?

@MatanuskaHIGH No, it's not the same, the difference being - is it one body, what controls every outlet, or are those different interest groups with contesting agendas. Nut a damn stupid shithead like you will not get it anyway.
