7:11 - BTW, you can get "Laima" chocolate and candies, the factory itself is in Riga, Latvia. I especially recommend chocolates with Riga black balsam and "Prozit" liquor candies (there are two variations of those - 8 candies with different liquors and cocktail edition with 2x4 cocktail set).
Also, I can not attest, to which degree this is accurate, as this comes from a fictional literature, not some scientific research, but supposedly here were three goddesses of faith, not just Laima, the other two were Kārta and Dēkla.
I find it suspicious, how much names of evil beings remind the word "veļi" - spirits of the dead - those are not evil, after all, if spirits were visiting you, those likely were spirits of your ancestors, thus with no intention to do harm. November was called "veļu mēnesis" - the month of spirits, supposedly that was the time, when they came to visit their relatives, so one had to leave them a contribution - a meal (milk, bread or something like that). And... well, it also sounds very much like "veļa" - laundry, I wonder if it's just a coincidence or someone imagined those spirits like white sheets in a wind. 🤣
