  2. I'm not a physicist, but even I know, that AC and refrigerators pump heat from one place to another so... If this thing pumps heat from a room, and then irradiates it in the same room, then it's pretty much useless and wastes power just recycling the heat it is producing itself. What would work is evaporation and cooling by airflow, that is - regular, natural sweating and a cheapo "made in China" ventilator, maybe helped by water - wet a piece of fabric (cap, towel, whatever).

  3. I've experiences the cooling effect of lowering gas pressure several times - when dedusting my PC with compressed "air" can - it might get so cold it's actually a bit painful to hold it.
