  1. Wait, it looks to me like one can't load a rifle from a stripper clip while a dust cover is on, at least on Mauser, without unlatching that swiveling locking detail around bolt handle. That's quite an issue, if true.

  2. +Szalami I have the same question - why covers were not further improved and mass produced during interbellum period? However, I may imagine French thinking there will be no need for them exactly because of Maginot line - it's made of concrete bunkers, not muddy trenches.

  3. Ah, OK, then it's not that bad, still, I'd like to see the process of loading and shooting itself, or at least the cycling of the bolt with dummy rounds.
