Jeffery Liggett "..Metric, It is not a system I find useful for everyday use as it is to reliant on precision." So, are you saying Americans suck really badly with holding to tight tolerances? Well, judging by Åmerican car industry that actually might be true. 8D On the other hand, if we aer being serious, US makes some of the best precision rifles, and that doesn't go along the initial statement.

Tuton25 If you need "to make more sense' in current world while completely changing the system of how we write down numbers, go with hexadecimal, it would make more sense in current information age.

shadowrundas Well, when I think of it, there are nanometers, but no nanoinches 8D

TheBadandy2021 Chinese is a good language, but their spelling system sucks, Vietnam did a really sensible thing moving to phonetic alphabet. Some may consider this to be just a legacy of French colonial regime, therefore Turkey might be a better example of this. IMO, in engineering metric system does make more sense, while it's not impossible to use Imperial units especially to those who are used to them, but simply writing tolerances of 0,2mm seem to be easier than the same number expressed as 1/128 of an inch. Perhaps I'm just biased, here metric system has been a standard since 1924.
