@a8205-w8h How I'd that a problem? I'm aware of at least one female platoon commander during 1991 Desert Storm. P.S. Maybe officially it was impossible for her to be on th ed front line on desert, but soldiers are quite creative at interpreting regulations and finding workarounds.

@TheRealColBosch And Russians still stick to it. So add Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Angola (40'000 Soviet military "advisers" went through it) and numerous other wars to the list.
