  1. No idea how it's done now, but in old arsenals (like one built is Stalin's era that held munitions for Soviet black Sea fleet) carts run on a softer metal, not steel wheels, in order to awoid sparks. Rails were still made of steel, I believe, othervice they would be bloody expensive.
