  1. Some of them were used as improvised sniper / anti material rifles during 1990s wars (Yugoslavia, conflicts in Caucasus region etc). I've even seen our, Latvian, defence forces using an anti-tank rifle with a scope (is Siviet 14,5mm calibre), before we got properly made Arctic Warfare and French "Hecate" sniper rifles.
