Lol. He didn't change his narrative. But in his mind Ukraine would be only "sovereign" under Russian whip and "liberated" from Western freedom. People forget, but his agent Yanukowych was pro-NATO politician. Now in the perspective we know, that his job was preparation of annexation under NATO expansion argument. Thing is that NATO never trusted Russia, but hoped that with time they would become part of European community. While Putin was only buying time being nice to NATO. When he was signaling whole time his intend of rebuilding USSR. Something what Poland was warning allies, as they know how Russian think. Anyone who actually fallow that, would tell you that Russia never changed they opinion about this. Fortunately Russia as country trapped in own lies, was incapable to modernize and after they Soviet heritage rot. They were incapable of actually doing anything. West did know that, but Russia fall in own lies so deep that they didn't.

Well, that is literally a old meme: Tanky: Why NATO forced you to invade Ukraine? Putler: Well, we just reclaiming our old colonial empire and try erase Ukraine. Tanky: But that is because of NATO? Yes?
23
@francibalanci5617 Yes. It is when Girkin and Russian Military entered Donbas, after Wagner with Russian Military coup Crimea. Yanukowych was removed from power by Ukrainian parlament after he escaped from country under escort of Russian Specnaz. He is a traitor.
20
Ironically Russia has -60 degree now in East.
19
You still have more then average Russian
16
That literally almost always is the case.
14
@max-hu9gx Whole "non-important" argument reveal his whole intend and also source of failure.
12
@proselytizingorthodoxpente8304 Yup. Though everyone already know that they do.
8
@proselytizingorthodoxpente8304 And then he learned why West ignore them.
7
Well. There is a saying that Kremlin always accuse others of own crimes. Cancellation of Russian and Western culture in exchange for Putrealism, was always Putin goal. Simple as it can be.
6
Fun fact: Stalin actual name was Ioseb Besarionis dze Jughashvili from Georgia. Most Stalin fanboys do not know his actual name, what should say you a lot. On top of that his common depiction is an actor Mikheil Gelovani.
5
And there is -60 degree in East Russia.
4
@bighatastrea The funny part is that it isn't even Russian propaganda. It is pure contrarianism.
4
So Russian history begin when in 17'th century, German Tzar Peter the Great. Rename state of Muscovy with name related to Noble Vikings and from now one every serf is imprisoned for calling his country with its proper name.
4
@rogerc6533 That is classic case of Projection. Russia see itself as superior, while deep down also being aware of own inferiority. Western countries usually do not see themselves as superior, though Russians perceive that as a lie. Putin always did try compete with West, completely failing to understand how it work.
4
@ragingmonk6080 That is literally what did happen. Russia though NATO is weak, because US and UK lost interest in Europe and Germany with France were spinless jerks. While in reality most of NATO was perfectly fine and prepared for confrontation. Furthermore all ex-Warsaw Pact countries are in the NATO now and they actually did have bulk of the power during Cold War. So while Russia is pale shade of itself and only small part of what they were. NATO realistically doubled in size, but was simply ignoring Russia giving them scraps, so they would go away.
4
@BAYBAY_316 Fun fact. In many European countries bread is baked on the spot. Russia is not one of those.
4
@Warszawski_Modernizm They called ice curse on enemy of the Russ. Ukrainians are Russ people, Yakuts are not.
3
The market thing was hilarious cope. Not only it was Auchan. It literally is not the 60's. So having well staffed supermarket in Moscow is not a big deal (except that most Russians can't afford it). Especially as random Biedronka in Polish village has probably better selection of the goods.
3
I think there isn't much to say about this video. All you need to do is to replace Zelensky with Putin. Wagner is basically identical to what was depicted.
3
Also fun fact. Google is actually owned by a Russian. What make it even funnier.
3
@YorkerEli Could you elaborate. Or you blindly repeat Scolobiova?
3
@koenraad4618 If you watch the video, it changed way before that. Coup what never happen (Yanukowych was removed by rada, after he escaped country) is only excuse to justify actual coup in Crimea and Donbas.
3
Russian Z-song: I don't care about USA. I spend entire song to whine about that... la la
3
You should visit Polish supermarket. It actually has buckwheat and freshly beaked bread.
3
@gagikgrigoryan6534 We know that. What he meant was how he would be remembered. He wanted be Peter the Great, ended being Nicholas the Second.
2
@minime7375 Russia attack on Ukraine was breaking of Helsinki Accords. It was seen as attack on the Europe as a whole. It is point of no return for Russia. You are now Asia if you do not understand that.
2
@WindowsDrawer Or PiS voter 😈
2
Here is the thing. In most cases those commercials actually intentionally do target mental children. It is why they show cool western weapons. They expect that target audience would not know that is the enemy.
2
What should be noted is that many racist attacks is actually done by Russian bot accounts. The same way as most "western propaganda" actually date back to Russian Telegram. I ask simple question. Are real life attacks common?
2
Ok, first of, lets be clear. Putin never wanted to join NATO! The debate was about Partnership for Peace. What was separate formula of less connected peace treaties with USSR. Russians were surprised that NATO didn't disband, but generally not concerned and as history show, US was correct here. Putin was joking referring to this failed project, what later was quoted by propaganda as him wanting to join NATO. While Putin never would do that. As he always wanted restore glory of USSR and was only buying the time. Something what US perfectly understand. At least until Obama, who make grave mistake ignoring Russia with intend of switching politics toward Asia. While old parts of Europe were seeking Russia as ally in gaining more strategical mobility. Unfortunately for Russia, they ignore that majority of NATO and EU has the opposite idea about whole thing. Same as Congress would never allow Trump to leave NATO. So in reality nothing change. Beside rot taking Russia to the bottom.
2
@j.goggels9115 They are only in Europe. And only formally. Russia is last Colonial Empire.
2
@korencek But after several war of which Russia was part. NATO never trusted perpetual invaders for a reason. And people confuse UN/US operations with NATO.
2
@bogdanzivkovic7090 European absolutism died in WW1. While Russia stuck there.
2
@matrixfull Is it still point of debate if he was lying or genuinly believed that US and Russia would rule the world together. What is beyond doubts is that Putin did have completely false understanding of the world.
2
Ignorance of Americans about Russia is outstanding.
2
How much time it take until Russia introduce rape commandos?
2
Except French 🤣
1
@VaidasYo Your beloved Russia isn't communist and there is a reason why communism failed around the world. Capitalism is not perfect, but only mentally challenged people think that communism is still a thing.
1
@SanctusPaulus1962 That is interesting fantasy you say. But of course. You are average Russian in Germany.
1
No shit sherlock...
1
Ok, let my be clear about that! Russia plan to invite Western weirdos and only plan build a village for them? ...like a singular village? TBH not a surprise. Famous people who moved to Russia can be count on one hand. (mostly sex offenders, tax frauds and psychos)
1
I mean. Putin did born in 1952. So it genuinely could be Leningrad. World actually massively changed in last several decades, with Soviet Union being somewhat frozen in time until collapse in 1989. I speak that from experience.
1
Yes. Lack of toilet paper was real thing back then. Gorbachev initially believed that home appliances were western propaganda. Not only there was lack of everything, but last decades were extremely behind. West did have Play Staion as far as 1995. Soviet Union just discovered color TV and Chinese knock off of Famicom.
1
Movie of course is exaggerated. Anecdotes about Putin are fake. Like he can't actually shot. There is video of that. He was a pencil pusher in German Embassy. And I'm fairly sure rich people did have toilet paper. It is majority of population who needed count leaves, because production numbers were made by fossil remembering WW2.
1
@grexseven4864 Lol, no. It was during Kutchma. Yushchenko was voted out exactly because he ended debate in 2008! Yanukowych win election exactly because he promised entering EU (yes, it was literal Russian setup!). Zelensky even as far as 2022 was saying that Ukraine do not plan joining NATO. They also can't, because Yankuowych make it literally impossible expanding Sevastopol deal. Putin is SHOCK! A LIAR! You straight parroting Russian propaganda my boy!
1
What we? Russia was always super aggressive toward everyone as a bully. Poland same as Turkey understand that Russia understand only strength. If they sniff weakens they would attack. While after Turkey shoot down Russian jet, Erdogan is treated as equal by Putin. Ukraine happen exactly because Obama, France and Germany wanted to have non-aggression stance on Russia.
1
People are aware that food was never sanctioned? West sanction stuff like microchips used to make weapons and not F@ M&M's! Do people even have brains? You can buy Coca-Cola in Cuba and local government sanctioned it!
1
She misquote: Boys left, criminals were robing that woman wallet, man died in pointless war.
1
The most hilarious part is that in few recant propaganda, Russia literally did use photos of Ukrainian soldiers saving civilians as example for themselves. TBH it isn't that uncommon. F-15 promote many totalitarian States.
