  2. In DC comic Lex Luthor is not strictly a bad guy. He actually is decent politician and businessman who did a lot of to help people. Especially after events of No Mans Land. Which is why he was elected as president (yes, they predict Donald Trump). But! Lex Luthor is unfortunately obsessed over Superman and his government toppling power. And he assume that Clark must have some weird agenda in mind, by pretending to be that symbol of justice. Oh, and yes. Lex Luthor actually know who Clark is, as they were childhood friends and he subconsciously blame him for something. But in general, if not his Superman obsession. Lex would be decent person in DC universe.
