Generally it is believed that all angels have fiery element in them. As I mentioned before in Kabbalah Ophanim/Thrones (as Christians call them Seraphim) are avatars of the God, when Chayot/Living Beasts (as Christians call them Cherubim) are for angels of the creations. Who despite being part of material realm are usually depicted alongside God, because they answer only to him (sometimes interpreted as horses of the chariot despite hybrid nature). But in Judaism Seraphim and Cherubim are separate lesser angelic species. Christians confused with the other ones. Cherubim are angels of the domain of force. Representing judicial side of the God. In opposition to previously mentioned there is many of them and they are usually depict as Sphinx-like creatures holding the flaming sword. After fall of archangel of justice Samael, she become angel of death (yes devil is female and enemy of humanity not the God, obeying him on various occasions), when this role was taken by Archangel Michael. Cherubim are also described as "Locust" in the Revelation and were most likely Elijah's horseman. Jewish Seraphim are middle tier clerks, generally not involved outside own jobs.

Christian angelic hierarchy is just poor adaptation of the Jewish one. Ophanim, Christian Seraphim and Thrones are clearly the same entity. When archangels were always defined as the heavenly prince. Not the order. Each command or represent whole individual circle.

I personally believe that it never was four faced Chayot (I mean what Christians call Cherubim, what are separate from Guardian Cherubim of Judaism, what in the one who fall). But prophet confused four separate entities standing together as singular one. It is believed that there is only four Chayot representing natural elements, as those are angels of creation (and destruction). Furthermore it make more sense that human faced one is actually serpent, but its flat face was confused with human from distance. And yes. Seraphim and Ophanim are same entities (author confused them with Cherubim what are leaser order). From context it make most sense that "wheels" are part of the Seraphim. Or Seraphim are projections created by "wheels". As side note Jews believe that Ophanim (which is seven plus, one with the three other forms corresponding to eight regular heavens, plus barrier and land of the creation). Are actually avatars of the God. It is why God referee to himself as "we" in the Genesis. And yes. The eighth one is the trinity. @rafaels.5374 Sources still debate between four faces (early Christian) and four separate angels (Jewish mysticism). Satan was Cherub, but in Jewish sense. So not a Ophanim or Living Beast, but lover level enforcer angel from realm of Justice. What TBH make sense. Also I remind people story of Job, for those who wrongly believe that Satan is enemy of the God.

@highfive7689 Oh, yes. It is interesting how those elements overlap. Like Emeralds are in fact similar stones to Jade. Also Chinese Four Symbols also closely resemble four Living Beasts of Bible (Both are also lead by equine creature). As for Jinns, first fallen angel according to Jewish tradition was goat known as Azazel (attribute incorrectly associated with Satan). He was punished by Gods' Prosecutor with being trapped "under the stone". Jinns are commonly believed to be spirits trapped in the objects or natural features (also not always evil). They do not serve Satan though. Satan is not enemy of the God, but the humanity (some angels were also trapped in the flesh). Satan is also confused with another entity known as Morning Star (Raziel Helal), who was greatest of the angels accused by Satan of the fall. But it was great serpent, who was punished as result. Satan serve God in the bible and though he and Christ disagree. Satan play important role as prosecutor of Sin. "Watchers' defection and corruption" He planed that. Monkey need souls after all. "The choice of the Tree of knowledge and Cain and Abel" Because humans have free will and as we are squatters, God has no obligation to protecting us from consequences of our actions. War in heaven is not biblical and heaven is just casually inhabited by eldritch abominations considering us as traitors.

Christian Cherubim also represent the elements: Human (or Serpent so flat face) is water or air element (Leviathan). Avian is Air or Fire Element (Ziz). Feline is Fire or Earth (Iron) Element. And Bovine (Turtle) is Earth or Water Element (Bahamut). Plus they are lead by Equine Sandelphon aka Holly Spirit or Abaddon (King of Sheol). And yes. It overlap with Asian Four Symbols. It is why it make most sens that they present in lowest circle, though they answer directly to the God.

It should be pointe due that due to miss translation there is difference between Christian Cherubim and Seraphim and Jewish Cherubim and Seraphim. In Judaism both are lesser orders. Cherubim being literal minor enforces. Christianity asociated term with Living Beasts (elemental angels) of Judaism and Seraphim with Ophanim/Thrones. Mostly because both terms were more recognizable to Greek speaking people of New Testament.

@soundhousemusic111 So you never actually read the bible then? New Testament was written by Christians, who actually have different understanding of some specific aspects then Judaism. For example Satan in Judaism is servant of God, who by his order test humanity. Jews also didn't believe in afterlife. At one point Jesus straight criticize high priests who teach one and then have greek style funerals.
