  6. Speaking about War Games people constantly forget that they are available to general public because CIA, want them to be available or because they were run independently (=without full insight). NATO standard in such cases also assume facing enemy of the NATO standard, as preparing for the worst, make your hopes for the best more valid. Publicly available war games, usually serve purpose of attracting additional military spending. No one would ever reveal what is your actual weak spot. What was kind off true in case of Crimea (even if "local support" was from deep Russia). Invasion of Poland resulted with massive losses to Wehrmacht and was successful only because alliance between Hitler and Stalin. Furthermore it result with official deceleration of war from side of France and UK. It is why Russian propaganda compare war on Ukraine with invasion of Poland, with claims of Russia fighting NATO. At least as far as they false narrative goes.

Poles are not colonizers and always were different branch of Slavs then Rus people. With different mentality. The similarity talked about, was usually similar organization and yes... a size of economy both countries did have. As such there was paralel in what Russia could be, if they would chose to not become Putinist kolkhoz again. But in reality differences in mentality are too large. Only reason why Poles understand Russians is due to long forced marriage and the fact that West tend to mythologize Soviets.

Machines are from Europe, Software is from US and components are Japanese. With each of those capable of restoring own production. China only pressure Taiwan, because invasion would end them in literal sense. As you said. That is literally why countries like Iran, North Korea and China send Putin weapons and take notes. But even in worst case scenario, that would not weaken NATO that much (not that Congress allow him to leave). At least against Russia who is basically just third world country. Russia do not actually stand a chance against Europe alone, despite the lies they spread. Low European spending actually aligned with Russian low capabilities. Everyone was surprised by attack on Ukraine, because everyone did know that Russia lack sufficient power. But people did not expect them being delusional. Anyway, attack of Russia on NATO is now a legit risk, but not them having any chances to win. Putin play dangerous gamble, where even if he gain some token land. He would leave his "empire" crippled in the process.
