I assume you base global oil crisis claim on Russian assumption at time of Crimean invasion? Because as it is now West decoupled with Russia, as such Chinese sizing Russian resources could have downright positive impact on the markets. As China would become less dependent on Arabic oil.

Invasion on Taiwan would lead to destruction of TSMC (60% of world semiconductors). Even if China would miraculously capture it. Machines are from Europe, Software is from US and components are Japanese. With each of those capable of restoring own production. China only pressure Taiwan, because invasion would end them in literal sense. As you said. Conquest of Siberia would be fully in Xi's reach, especially as Russia strip border clean and has problem with they nukes (made in Ukraine). Not to mention that Siberian resources and restoration of good relations with the West is in they interest. In my opinion Putin drag this war only in hope that cowardly Trump win. Russia should start folding after this winter.

Only because someone said him Russian ahistorical propaganda. Russia would not defeat Hitler without second front and Land-Lease. Stalin own words! Napoleon was defeated by the weather. @spencerstevens2175 The simple fact is that failure of US in Ukraine would end American hegemony. That is literally why countries like Iran, North Korea and China send Putin weapons and take notes. I in fact agree that decisive actions against Russia in past, could in fact prevent future escalation. But unfortunately we end in the middle. Worst thing what could happen is allowing any territorial gains. That would be green light to everyone to make own grabs.
