Comments by "TheRezro" (@TheRezro) on "Why Ukraine Kept defending Bakhmut" video.
Ukraine show that it is willing to give land to preserve own forces. Because only one can be restored if lost. Bakhmut is not really that important for logistics, but it may look as such on the map. It is why Russia focus on it so much. I do believe that Ukraine decided to hold Bakhmut to distract Russia from incoming offensive. Lot of Russian forces can't be relocated if pinned there, when Ukraine actually could redeploy them either north or south from there. When proper offensive commence. US was advising to leave the town, but changed opinion after talk with Ukrainian command.

@harrisonhonda3745 It is what they did say regard Vuhledar. But I would say it is combined experience of many who have grudges toward Russia.

@harrisonhonda3745 No one said anything about mood fields, especially with Ukrainian Rasputica. But no further then 5km from Bakhmut is Chasiv Yar (also reinforced) then Konstantinivka, etc. Not counting smaller villages. Russia in fact has far better shoot on Sloviansk from Krasna Hora. And I would not even comment resources needed to capture actually large cities. And lol. Attacker lost statistically three man to one defender assuming equal forces. And Russian ones are nowhere near equal (it is around 5 to 1 if not more). The only problem in Bakhmut is that it is currently surrounded from three sides and have logistical issues. It is speculated that Ukraine intentionally try distract Russia, as city doesn't actually hold strategical value. Otherwise they should start Bakhmut 2.0 in Chasiv Yar and hold there Russian for next half year.

@YuBrat Navas And strategy with logistic win the wars in the end. When Wegner run out man ans start sending Russian students and housewife's, everything would be undone. Assuming that Putin would not get Prigozhin head on dinner. After all Neo-nazis and PMC's are in Russia Illegal.
