  5. @ Contrary to popular opinion Poland has both tech (it is why Yeltsin agreed for it to enter NATO) developed in the 90's and the way to enrich fuel. As one of large producer of medical isotopes. Our greatest weakness is lack of missile tech.

The big problem with Baltic States is that it is officially a NATO, with other countries having own armies there. So attack would definitely trigger response. Even if it is technically a weak spot. Finland could be perceived by Russians as weaker target, especially due to delusion that Russians are good in winter combat (it is why they do offensive now). But also NATO is technically not yet there and Putin could beat on Western countries not delivering on security guarantees. Especially if they have delusional believe that they actually fight NATO in Ukraine. And such could try strike Finland, when they deem front in Ukraine as stable enough. But it is hard to predict level of Russian insanity here? It all could be a PsyOp.

Same way as Nazi Germany did have claim to entire Russia through German Tzars. Putin is literally using logic of Adolf Hitler here and that would lead to same results if someone do not stop him. Fact is that Russia recognized existence of Ukraine and them revoking all pacts they signed, beside Ribbentrop-Molotov (that is literal base for they zones of influence argument). Would have severe consequences for them. What is especially funny is use of "historical land" argument, because Russia may they wish here, if they do not come to senses. But they real historical land is only territory of Principality of Muscovy. Everything else is a literal colony, they conquered much later. Until now international law give them protection. But in they confused delusions they attempt to revoke it. And it could severely backfire. Like no one would stop China at this point.

  10. I think there would be other capital for "Far Eastern Republic". It would be Beijing. Chinese have claim to this land and it is not coincidence that unrest happen in those regions. Chinese also want access to water of Baikal Lake, what was previously blocked by Russia.

  14. To be clear. China would loose this game. Chinese are principally nation of order. Even if they try exploit chaos for own gain. Meanwhile the West is actually a civilization of chaos, who mastered order for own gain. For the West it is just matter of the unleashing something they are good at. And on top od that in controlled way. While China would lost control over chaos quite fast. Arguably they already do not control the situation.

  15. Problem is that France and Germany are only ones who push on Federation, exactly to consolidate they powers. It was the poison threatening EU whole time. If Three Seas Imitative do work, there is a chance of creating alternative center of mass in Berlin. Only when balance is achieved, we may talk about further unification.

  18. To put it simply. Federal EU would not happen! (at least for now) Thing is that France and Germany proved to be ineffective in ruling Europe. They compliance with Russia, is major issue. Europe was not fully in vassalage of Putin, only because majority of EU countries actually hold sane approach and counter it. Whole Federal project is only serving purpose of restoring Franco-German dominance, instead actually repairing issues of Europe.

  20. There is something I need to point. Russia has other assets then just military one. Russia over time build tight network of collaborators and useful idiots, who repeat they narrative in Western media. Ukraine absolutely didn't escalate anything, they absolutely can and should target military targets inside the Russia, because Russia starting the war has no protection from consequences. Ukraine absolutely must regain own land and must enter the NATO. Because otherwise Russia would slaughter another thousands of Ukrainians decade later, slicing another salami slice of Ukraine. Current war is largely result of cowardly and Chamberlainy actions of the West during anszlus of Crimea, same as negligence to act lead directly to WW2. But I do admit that there will be things Ukraine would need leave at end of the war. Punishing Putin is unlikely, so thousands war criminals in Russian ranks. And sizing Moscow would not happen (it is worth to point out that Ukraine make clear that they would not size Russian soil, so people claiming otherwise repeat Russian lies). Ukraine most likely could also not save those deported deep into the Russia, at least until they trade captured soldiers. But ending this war prematurely would mean death of those on occupied land. And all cowards suggesting that do have blood on they hands.

  23. I must point out that in previous decades, main focus of Polish Army was reform of the personel and training. There was no point in acquisition of new hardware, if people could not use it due to conscription. Only recently new staff replaced old ones, allowing jumpstaring Territorial Defense. Hardware reform was planed from two decades, but problems with acquisition of Leopard 2 from Germany, delayed whole thing. For the last decade (jumpstarted by PO), there was attempt of revitalizing military industry. After few years of delay caused by Macierewicz. Acquisition was resumed. But most of those projects already were in working, from years. Only speed up due to war in neighborhood. Idea that acquisition was compulsory, is incorrect (excluding proved HIMARS).

Whole conflict is basically identical to situation like between Poland and EU (with presence of African and Arabic refugees on Mexican border). Even if in reality government of Kaczyński, was seeking ally against Germany in EU. Due to fear of Germany receiving similar propose from Moscow (Sikorki confirmed that Russia did give him this proposition, what he reported to NATO but was ignored). When German sucking pipe and acting in denial, strongly implied could be the case. Even if now we know that Germans were honesty oblivious and eventual talks didn't go beyond Merkel, who didn't treat it seriously.
