  1. The reason why widows complain about money not dead family, is because no one in Russia care about dead. BUT! Lot of people who agree to go on the... what they do see as relatively small scale military operation. Is the promised financial gain. So complaining that they were no paid would have greater impact on volunteers, even if they do care about close ones personally. Especially as complaining about not receiving what is they right, would be seen as less political then complaining about deaths. Though yes. Russians are weird, fact that government is not paying simply look like far greater symptom that something goes wrong, then losses alone. As Russians are used to pointless losses.

  2. Ironically Russian propagandist has a point. Russia has several other disputed areas, what are potentially threaten. But it boils down to simple fact. Russia was grabby first! No one would really do much about Kurils, Transnistria, Osetia and Aphasia, or Kaliningrad. If Russia would not play king douche and try steal Crimea. Now they are whining because they may lost stolen land... hilarious I say. Also here is the thing! Russia literally did make claims to Alaska! Russia actively was attempting to steal land of others, directly or indirectly. So they shut the f& up! They are last, who should make any demands.
