And yes, Russia was repetitively refusing to negotiate. It is absolutely ludicrous that Putin try blame Ukraine when they were F! Invaders. Ukraine has zero reason to agree on anything in case of invasion. Yes. Of course they were refusing, because they always did have one condition. To Russia leave they country.
