  1. Probably someone already mention that, but Ace Attorney is a satire of Japanese law system what in fact has some of flaws probably pointed out here. Like that courts tend to jump in conclusions basing on authority of lazy police, or showcase style of trial. In some movie adaptations this point is strengthened by fact that those trials really are Reality TV shows (so probably no one would mistake those with real things), though game can be more subtle about that.
