I absolutely agree that situation in China is bad and I agree why pressure should be put to solve those issues. But saying that they should not be allowed on principle is something absolutely self-righteus. That is not how you make world better place.

I personally wouldn't be also surprised that after Russia step out, we could find that we will have one station again (ISS2), when two stations join together, throwing out some old Russian modules.

What I'm saying is that things could change (soft power) and fact that Chinese did use international standard couplers, open that possibility, because it isn't really much different situation then it was with Russia. The funny thing is that Russia itself could put themselves outside equation, because it is not clear if Chinese actually want work with them and ironically it could end with Chinese taking they place instead. After all USA and China have shared bussines and whole conflict is over control over it, not confrontation. What Russia seams to not understand, or is simply desperate because they actually are afraid of China the most.

  9. ​ @MazonDel  Finally someone with common sense! Simple truth is that Russia simply cease to be relevant and they were keeping engine grinding with Soyuz launches. But now Americans become again active with Space X and Soyuz become obsolete. So they basically try to sell own service to China until they still have something. To be honest it would be hilarious if China refuse cooperation, because for reminder they station is outside reach of the Bajkonur. Ironically China think about the Russia the same as USA think about the China and actually those two fight over shared interests, with Russia being basically third wheel (do you think it is coincidence that Chinese ports are compatible with international standard?). Russia involvement in Starship is unlikely. I wish this project well, but it would be long time before Musk's Skuttle become useful if at all (problems what kill NASA shuttles didn't disappear).

After lost in WW1, Germany was strangled by unwise decisions of British, what lead to wave of reactionism. Being proud nation they start shifting blame on "outside and inside forces" instead actually trying rebuild country. Such mentality with blaming China, is all what we see all over this topic. And again, both current lead members of ISS were responsible for recent crimes against humanity. Whole stiction in China is just a rumor overblown out proportion, by people with clear agenda.
