@Dr_Do-Little Yup. It is obvious scam!

Well, we can't say that design itself has no value. Problem is that I see video games with better designed space stations then that! Seriously! Center of Van Buran space station is worst place ever, with really high rotation and unequal gravity. It is where you place structural parts and infrastructure. This obvious scam place there majority of the mass with the dock. WTF? If you use center it should rotate counter-wise in order to crate zero gravity zone for docking. Not fucking spin like carousal! Do they plan suicide runs or something?

It is why most people presume it is a scam. There is a difference between passion project and really seeking founds for a pipe dream.
17
Except it obviously fail.. it is like something what ten years old could come up with..
13
Evilmike42 You missing the point is legendary.. what is what he siad.
10
It is obviously a scam 0-0
8
@deathwatch27 Considering that video games have better designs I doubt 0_0
7
Dude, it isn't quantum physic. We do know that it would work. Problem is that it is obvious scam. Even in The Expanse rotary gravity was a big deal and for a reason.
7
@itswift Do anyone is surprised? Space X and Origin barely come out from ground and they promising something what NASA can't deliver, when only advantage of private companies is that they can make it cheaper. It is obviously a scam, like selling spots in heaven.
4
@dr.zoidberg8666 Even if you aren't technically incorrect, this whole thing is obvious bullshit. And because it probably involve more then dozen people, at least some of them need to be aware that it found they new Ferrari.
4
@mcearl8073 Take a note that not every scam is well planed and despite that some people fall in most ridiculous offers (after all they already did make some money). Also if you ask my, this whole thing is bunch of passionate Sci-Fi fans trying fulfill own dreams and jump-start research (despite the fact that it already is a thing). Problem is that it potentially could take money from more valid projects and end in someone packet, as they clearly have no idea what they are doing.
4
@guillermohoffmann8417 And what that has to do with anything? ISS is international multi-government project performing numerous scientific experiments, what pay already insane cost of this operation. When Tesla was marketing stunt during test of Falcon Heavy rocket what, would go in space with dummy cargo anyway. What that has to do with unknown company trying fund far larger project then ISS on Kickstarter and can't even make proper plans? It isn't just dumb project. It is transparently a scam trying get money for something what clearly can't work, from naive idiots.
3
@Brammy007a Yes, yes. Everyone on internet claim to work for NASA. We still didn't build anything comparable to Nautilus-X, yet you buying design from Wing Commander. There is no point for future debate.
2
@Brammy007a Sorry, but only pathetic person here is you. I only pointed out that bragging about age and expertise is something what "15 years old" do on YouTube to cover lack of arguments. And I still don't see any arguments, only bragging without any proves. And there is no debate here, only someone pretending to have authority and proving exact opposite. So who doesn't know meaning of this word? Anyway, I will consider you as a troll and block. I'm out.
2
@jamesseabrook1783 Again, it isn't quantum physic. We do know that it would work because it is literally High School physics. What we need is purpose and proper design. Neither can't be provided by those people despite absurd cost of this project. Also it is just matter of time when such device would be installed on ISS, just station isn't large enough to be relevant issue.
2
@mcearl8073 It is centrifugal force vector. Considering that dock is elongated, center of station would be tilted. Anyway point is that they even couldn't determine where they own gravity is. Something what I did noticed literally in ten seconds after seeing this video, despite not being an expert. Designers clearly are unaware that whole central sector is huge washer drum with gravity vectors all over place. Yes, it is best place for landing, but it also would be something like rollercoaster and larger station larger the issue. In more competent design on such scale they probably would use stationary (counter-rotating) module for docking with synchronized carts working as elevators. That beside the fact that gravity differ depending on how far you are from the center. It is why in competent Van Buran design majority of crew compartments is in same distance far from center. This thing on the other hand has huge block in the middle like in some video game.
2
No, it is you who miss the problem of scale. Things like Space X did work because even if it was ambitious idea it start small and ower time they work to what they are now. What they selling us here is obvious pipe dream. Something what even governments wouldn't achieve easily if they would want. It is obvious scam.
1
@gg5115 Pipe dream is always a pipe dream, no matter of the time. There is a huge difference between obvious scam and what stupid close minded morons consider as impossible. For example Space X even if was considered as risky project still has from beginning a valid plans, with multiple seps toward they goals. This thing? It can't even get basic physics right 7:54, not to mention providing any plan toward the goal, or even steps. What for reminder NASA has from 50's, when they can't even focus on singular project. And not NASA effort. ISS is operated by multiple space agencies. It is literal pick of humanity abilities at that point. This Gateway Foundation could as well sell us a Transformer, what probably would be still more realistic goal then that. If someone do care about those things, should at least suport people who has at least ability to achieve this goal in this century.
1
Yup. Furthermore it would be initially designed as ISS, because that is all what we got not.
1
@MouseGoat Proof... lol. I'm not arguing what is possibile but the probable. They don't have any real idea of what to do with it, only transparently incompetent model and some numbers. Numbers by themselves don't mean nothing, as they probably would not fund even decent rocket on kickstarter, so people are paying for concept art. And on top of that NASA has better designs already.
1
@General12th Again. You confusing basic idea of centrifuge gravity (what was tested positively during Gamini 11 in 1966). With they specific project, what contain obvious flaws overblown ambitions, revealing they transparent lack of professionalism (in opposition for example to NASA's Nautilus-X concept). What in pair with shady funding practices suggest that it is a scam. No one saying that concept as a whole is false. Only that people should have common sense.
1
@General12th Yes, the ideas, not the design.
1
Yeh, from get go it look totally fake 0_0
1
Space X would almost for sure sued them..
1
@Dubswitcher Again if they are scam or would be valid competition, those companies have right to sue them for stealing designs or bandwagoning. In fact swinging other campaniles logos is also something what look like a scam flag.
1
Yup. Exactly!
1
@Blox117 They kickstarter failed. It is why they try different methods.
1
Few countries?
1
I would not be surprised, considering that it is obvious scam.
1
@SlocketSeven Well, I'm sure that any real physicist would question it validity. It is only technically possible to build, but almost for sure would not work.
1
@kirishima638 Because it isn't worth of effort probably.
1
@indigodragon0613 Dude, it is a scam 0_0
1
@indigodragon0613 In such case it is matter of the time. But if someone is so foolish to think that you can found such thing on Kickstarter, then it is pure stupidity. They aren't even original, just jump over the sun.
1
@disastergarage4261 You missing the point.
1
@Eytaris That is probably where they whole budget go 0_0
1
@Brammy007a It isn't video game.
1
@jamesseabrook1783 If you ask my 7:54 speak for "validity" of this project enough. Even high school student should notice this mistake.
1
@AndersWelander You mean such experiments what NASA do from 50's? You people really are hilarious. Believe in golden mountains and ignoring real research and progres as something unimaginable 0_0
1
@AndersWelander No, they don't. We already know how those things work 0_0
1
@yourhandlehere1 You are in fact correct.
1
Do you collect also Beanie Babies?
1
At least.. that is in fact optimistic estimations. First plans for moon base are form 50's.
1
Do you seriously believe that they would crowdfund something larger then ISS? You did vote on Trump, aren't you?
