  36. True, but still had to pander to Brahmavad during his coronation. Mughals were great - but outdated. I cannot recollect them making any universities. They did help in recovering a lot of temples for Brahmins. There is a reason also for that Shivaji was not from usual Brahmavadi background, instead having a lower background and initially even opposed Brahmavad like cow owners can have two wives.
