I will need to listen to this more than once and will get new things out of it. There are so many topics touched on brilliantly that I may have been distracted from the overall thread. I don't even care. I wonder why we and other animals are more adept at spotting cheating than altruism? Wouldn't recognising altruism would also be beneficial for survival? I love the prisoner's dilemma.

I love the reference to Marlon Perkins. It seems interesting that he, then Jaques Cousteau and then the Crocodile Hunter reflected the philosophy of man's relationship to nature in different decades.
